PAUL MILES BENEFIT CONCERT FOR ARISE DETROIT! NOV. 9 AT MEMPHIS SMOKE IN ROYAL OAK

      


 ROYAL OAK – Award-winning blues musician Paul Miles will host his third annual Help Your Neighbor Project Benefit Concert for ARISE Detroit! on Sunday, Nov. 9 Nov. at Memphis Smoke in downtown Royal Oak.

The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 Memphis Smoke, located at 100 South Main at Eleven Mile.

The concert will feature a number of the Detroit area’s finest blues musicians, including Harmonica Shah, the Motor City Tones as well as Miles, a Detroit Music Award winner for outstanding blues songwriter and outstanding acoustic artist.

“ARISE Detroit! has been doing a great job of encouraging groups and organizations to help create a better Detroit! and I just wanted to do something to encourage people to support their efforts,” Miles said. “We will have a great show for a great cause.” There is no admission charge for the event, but donations will be sought from the audience

“We are honored that Paul Miles would lend his outstanding talents on behalf of ARISE Detroit!,” said Luther Keith, executive director of ARISE Detroit! “We’re looking forward to thanking the community for all the support they have given us since we started three years ago.”

Donations for the event are tax deductible. There will also be CD giveaways, a raffle and door prizes.

ARISE Detroit! is a coalition of more than 300 non-profits groups, neighborhood organizations, churches, businesses and media outlets promoting volunteerism, community activism and hope to improve the quality of life for children and families of Detroit.
